Analysis of good luck chuck

as the distribution companies come up at the beginning of the movies we here the non-diegetic sound of music being played, it is a very upbeat song choice that you would usually find in a romantic comedy. we firstly see an establishing shot of a house and the numbers 1985 being shown on the bottom of the scene we firstly get the impression that this scene of the movie is set in the past. there is a circle of young children playing spin the bottle you can tell that this is a party. we straight away see that the two main characters as they are the first two to start a conversation, we also sense that these characters have a connection and will be in the main narrative of this movie. from the camera shots we can also get an impression on what kind of a person this boy is, the two boys dialogue is mainly based around women and sex and then we see a point a view shot from one of the boys which gives us the impression the one of the boys is interested in this girl and want the bottle to stop on her. as the bottle lands on the Gothic girls he has to go into the cubbard with her as the girls put a hex on the boy we can see that now he is the main character and that he is this hex is going to play a main part in the narrative structure of this film.

some of the shots, music and editing used in my actual media product and could help me create a film that suits my genre of a romantic comedy.
